Originally established as a guest house in far-off 1880, the Hotel RestaurantAI DUE LEONI is located in Farra d’Isonzo, a sunny town facing the Collio with slopes that descend sweetly into the Isonzo plain. The establishment was acquired by the Baldassi family in 1958, who have continued to run the historic inn after having renovated and enlarged the structure, whilst featuring a typical Friulian cuisine, linked to the surrounding territory and the natural course of the seasons.
Still under family management, the hotel is now run by the owner’s son Paolo. Its traditional Friulian hospitality remains unaltered: a typical establishment where the privacy and serenity of another age are the priority.
The time-honoured art of offering visitors the pleasure of discovering the little things so dear to us united with ancient culinary traditions is the ideal marriage for a kitchen that features typical dishes such as potato or spinach gnocchi, smoked ricotta cheese fagottini, wild game and baccalà with polenta, all knowingly accompanied with precious DOC wines from Farra d’Isonzo.
